Register Online for May 11 Annual Meeting & Legislative Reception

Time is running out to register for the May 11 Annual Meeting & Legislative Reception featuring keynote speaker Tom Brokaw. You can register online by clicking here or print off a form and mail it in by clicking here.

The event takes place at the Capitol Theatre in the Riffe Center in downtown Columbus followed by a Legislative Reception at the Capital Club honoring the members of the 128th Ohio General Assembly. The Annual Meeting starts at 3:30 p.m. with the election of new board members followed by Mr. Brokaw's presentation "An Anchorman's Look at the World." Wrapping up the event will be the awarding of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce's Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award. This award recognizes an outstanding Ohio entrepreneur and awards them with a check for $25,000!

In conjunction with the Annual Meeting, the Ohio Chamber will be hosting Chamber Day at the Capital for local chambers and their members from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Information regarding Chamber Day at the Capital was mailed to all local chambers. Business Symposiums Next Week

The Ohio Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring two free business symposiums on April 6 and 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce headquarters, 230 E. Town St., Columbus, OH 43215. Both symposiums are open to all interested business owners and managers.

  • The April 6 symposium focuses on the “Top 10 Employment Issues Impacting Small Business” presented by Jan Hensel, Partner, Disnmore & Shohl, LLP
  • The April 8 symposium focuses on “Tax Code Money Saving Strategies” presented by former Ohio Tax Commissioner Tom Zaino, Managing Member, McDonald Hopkins LLC

Ohio Matters Gets New Look; Offers Advertising Options

Have you noticed the new look of Ohio Matters magazine? The publication has been redesigned to better serve you! The articles include more information from our members including member profiles, articles by members and member input. Also, Ohio Matters now offers advertising in every issue with Ohio Chamber members receiving a 15 percent discount.
