OBAMA TO CONGRESS: SCHEDULE VOTE ON HEALTH REFORMS

Following last week’s health care summit, President Obama and Congressional Democrats made clear their intention to pass health care legislation using a controversial procedure called reconciliation. 

 

US EPA... PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS

Industry and statewide business organizations came together this week in an effort to halt the US Environmental Protection Agency's (US EPA) economically devastating regulation of greenhouse gas emmissions (GHGs). 

 

HOUSE PASSES PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYER ORGANIZATIONS BILL

In a rare show of bipartisanship at the Statehouse, the House unanimously passed legislation that would provide more financial security and certainty for companies employing Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs).

 

 

This week, the Ohio House seated Alicia Reece as the new representative of the 33rd House district. She replaces Tyrone Yates who was appointed to serve on the Hamilton County Municipal Court.

 

Rep. Reece is the former Vice Mayor of Cincinnati and was the director of travel and tourism for the state of Ohio. She must compete to hold the seat in the November 2, 2010 election.
