HARD BUDGET NEGOTIATIONS ON TAP

 

State revenues again dropped by more than 10 percent in May, continuing a year-long decline.

 

K-12 EDUCATION: EVIDENCE-BASED OR PER-PUPIL FUNDING?

 

The competing visions of Gov. Ted Strickland and Senate Republicans about the components, and ultimately the total cost, of Ohio's school funding system are creating more fireworks than we'll see on the 4th of July. 

 

CHAMBER APPLAUDS REMOVAL OF COSTLY HEALTH PROVISIONS

 

This week, the Senate removed a number of costly health insurance provisions from the state budget that would have increased premiums for employers, while doing nothing to contain the underlying cost of health care.
