COMMITTEE AMENDS FORECLOSURE BILL

 

A House committee adopted several amendments to a bill that targets home foreclosures, including one of two major changes advocated by the Ohio Chamber.

 

ACCOUNTANTS SEEK CONFIDENTIALITY PROTECTION

 

Existing Ohio law shields certain communications between persons in particular relationships, such as attorney-client or doctor-patient, from being the subject of testimony in a court proceeding.

 

CHAMBER QUESTIONS EMPLOYER MANDATE IN BUDGET

 

The Ohio Chamber is questioning whether the state’s proposal to require employers to offer certain types of cafeteria plans, contained in HB 1, will conflict with federal law and impose new and burdensome requirements on employers.
