Small businesses are one step closer to more streamlined regulations in Ohio.

BWC/IC BUDGETS SET FOR TUESDAY COMMITTEE VOTE

The House Insurance Committee held two hearings on the Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) and Industrial Commission (IC) budgets this week.

TRANSPORTATION BUDGET EXPANDS FUNDING OPTIONS

Emphasizing the importance of Ohio's transportation system to spur economic growth, Department of Transportation (ODOT) Director Jolene Molitoris testified on the agency's budget this week. 

Sen. Tom Roberts, a democrat from the Dayton area, announced he will resign his 5th district Senate seat effective February 27. Governor Strickland is expected to appoint him to a seat on the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. Senate Democrats will be interviewing candidates to replace Sen. Roberts. One of the leading candidates is former Representative Fred Strahorn.
