STATE BUDGET HIKES SPENDING 6.3 PERCENT

Governor Ted Strickland's $54.7 billion FY 2010-11 general revenue fund (GRF) budget proposes a 6.3 percent overall spending increase, with an 8.7 percent or $925 million increase for K-12 education.

Ohio House and Senate committee assignments were announced this week. The Ohio Chamber is preparing both its on-line and hard copy directories of the 128th Ohio General Assembly. When completed, the hard copy directory will be mailed to all members and the on-line directory will be available on the Ohio Chamber Web site.
