WSU College of Engineering/ NIAR to host Open House Friday

The annual Open House for Wichita State's National Institute for Aviation Research and the College of Engineering is Friday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

NIAR and Wallace Hall will be open to the public, and student projects will be on display throughout the two buildings. Students will be available to discuss their projects with visitors.

Many of NIAR's labs will also be open to the public, including:

NIAR engineers and student employees will be available to give overviews and answer questions about the laboratories.


The National Institute for Aviation Research is a prestigious state-of-the-art aerospace research and development laboratory with global reach and expertise in research, design, testing, and certification. The Institute’s clientele includes many of the world’s aerospace manufacturers, NASA and the FAA. It is the largest aviation R&D academic institution in America.  The National Institute for Aviation Research is an unincorporated division of Wichita State University.
