Shape YOUR State Chamber with Online Survey:
Impact the North Carolina Chamber's 2008
Competitiveness Agenda

Our time to gather your feedback is coming to an end. So far, 170 members have taken the survey. We're shooting for 100% participation so please take a few minutes to offer your invaluable input.

This is a  valuable member assessment for your North Carolina Chamber. This is your opportunity to spend just a few minutes and have a real impact on what your state Chamber sets as priorities for the next year. This survey is of particular value because it will show how we are doing compared to other state Chambers across the country. It is very important to us that you take a few minutes to complete this anonymous online survey and make comments in the text boxes provided at the end of the survey. The feedback you provide will help us build a stronger state Chamber to deliver exceptional results to members and be a true 'force for business' in North Carolina. Again, your feedback is completely anonymous, so please be honest and specific.

Thank you in advance for spending 5 minutes to make a difference for the North Carolina Chamber!

UNC Tomorrow Can Help Overcome Workforce Challenges

While our state scores well in several business climate rankings and studies, North Carolina businesses still face numerous significant challenges in today's environment, such as rising health care and energy costs, increasing legal and regulatory compliance costs, and difficulty finding enough qualified workers.

Now is the time to tell UNC President Erskine Bowles, UNC Board of Governors Chairman Jim Phillips and the UNC Tomorrow Commission what kind of workforce you need to be able to stay and grow in North Carolina and compete in a global economy. And the good news is: They're coming to you!

On September 10th, President Bowles, Chairman Phillips and the UNC Tomorrow Commission will kick off "listening forums" across the state to collect feedback about how UNC campuses can best serve our state now and in the future. Visit the Events calendar on the homepage of the North Carolina Chamber website at www.ncchamber.net for a complete schedule of UNC Tomorrow Community Listening Forums and plan to attend one in your community.

The UNC Tomorrow project is an 18-month initiative to determine how the 16-campus University can best meet the needs of the state and its people over the next 20 years. Our state Chamber has been encouraged to provide - through our members and customers - comprehensive input from the business community on how our universities can become more demand-driven by focusing on the needs of its customers.

The North Carolina Chamber's top priorities include world-class education systems that produce a world-class workforce. This is a perfect opportunity to lend your support and guidance to President Bowles and UNC.
