Governmental Appointments
|
| Governor Crist appointed Judge Nelly Khouzam (XXIII) to the Second District Court of Appeals in Lakeland. Nelly has served as a Circuit Court Judge in the Sixth Judicial Circuit since 1994. |
| Representative Marcello Llorente (XXVII), of Miami, will head up the Joint Legislative Budget Commission, specifically the Full Appropriations Council on General Government and Health Care. |
Governor Crist appointed two Leadership Florida members to the Florida Energy and Climate Commission:
Kathy Baughman McLeod (XXV), deputy chief of staff in the Office of Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink in Tallahassee, was appointed for a term beginning Dec. 1, 2008, and ending Nov. 30, 2010.
Jim Murley (IX), director of the Center for Urban and Environmental Solutions in Miami, was appointed for a term beginning Dec. 1, 2008, and ending Nov. 30, 2011. Jim was also selected to chair the Commission.

| The Leadership Florida Sunshine State Survey has entered its third year – the critical time when the widest use of this longitudinal poll begins. As the only survey of its kind in Florida, our success rests heavily on our ability to provide statewide, targeted survey coverage to stakeholders and influence makers in Florida. By capturing the opinions and needs of Floridians, the survey highlights timely issues for those who can make a difference—our state’s leaders and policymakers. But we need your help to identify the influential movers and shakers in your regions. LF staff has prepared 10-15 minute targeted presentations on specific issues that “speak” to targeted audiences in your region and a 1 hour presentation that focuses on all the key findings.
