2007 Member Services Survey:
We want your input!

With your feedback we will be able to host the kind of “must-get-there” events that build on that special class program mystique and keep you coming back for more. The "we" in this equation is this year’s Member Services Committee -- a new batch of Leadership Florida members eager to transform your fresh ideas into events that add lasting value to your LF experience.

Please take a few minutes to tell us how we can refine our approach for not only engaging our members but embracing their zest for lifelong learning and unapologetic drive for excellence.

REMEMBERING
Joe Richardson

Joseph H. Richardson (VIII), formerly president and CEO of Florida Power Corp., passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, following complications from cancer surgery.

After leaving Progress Energy, Richardson moved from St. Petersburg to Tampa, making brief stops at start-up companies, before being named president of Allegheny Power in Pennsylvania in 2003. In 2006, he was named chief operating officer of generation for Allegheny Energy, the utility's parent company.

Joe was a former trustee and chair of the New Cornerstone Executive Steering Committee, the driving force launching the effort to create the New Cornerstone. His sensitivity in reviewing and guiding the research team and helping to raise the initial funds to create the study was critical to its success.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; a son, Matthew and his wife, Alli, of Atlanta; two daughters, Emily and her husband, Fred Roselli, also of Atlanta, and Maureen and her husband, Dan Haggstrom, of Lexington, Ky.; and two grandchildren.
