CONNECT FLORIDA'S Annual Conference
|
Exactly one week before the national YP Summit in Louisville, Connect Florida is excited to bring Florida's young professionals the information first!
National speaker Molly Foley will join us to present Smart Start: A Guide to Starting & Growing Your Young Professional Group (YPG) and give attendees a sneak peak at the 2007 YP Global Survey results. The conference will also feature a keynote address by Lynda Keever, publisher of the Florida Trend and Leadership Florida Class XI member.
|
 | | Publisher of Florida Trend magazine, one of the oldest and most respected regional business publications in North America, Lynda Keever is the only woman to serve in that position in the magazine's 43-year history. A fifth-generation Floridian, she has a unique understanding of the issues facing the state and its citizens. |
| | Molly Foley, with Next Generation Consulting (NGC), is first line of response for all YPGs and communities that want to become talent magnets. Molly's fingerprints are on the YP impact survey, the YP Summit, and everything else that NGC does to help attract, retain, and engage the next generation of leaders. |
Our Annual Conference is quickly approaching! Register now to join us September 7-8, in Tampa at the Embassy Suites Downtown Convention Center. Click here to register.

Smart Start: Guide to Starting and Growing YPGs!
|
Smart Start for Young Professionals Organizations (YPO) offers a clean and clear model for understanding and practicing good organizational development. Smart Start is especially useful for those YPO’s who are seeking to make a real difference in their community and want to maximize the greatest YP and community benefit through their existence.
How you form your YPO is unique to your community and YP team. Smart Start allows YPs to explore their start-up and growth by reviewing six life stages to organizational development and the capacities that need to be acquired, at various levels by a YPO, for start-up and growth.

2007 Global Impact Survey
|
The YP Global Impact Survey, introduced at the 2006 International YP Summit in Madison WI, is a 40-question survey that takes your city's and YPO's pulse, measures your members' community impact and combines it with the world's 20-40 year olds.
Does your community have what it takes to attract and engage the next generation? How do you stack up in the seven indexes that matter to young professionals? How do you compare to your competition? (Which is every other city in the world!)
Next Generation Consulting surveyed over 20,000 young professionals since 1998 and developed a unique handprinting solution around the seven indexes that helps a community see itself as the next generation sees it. Once you understand how young talent perceives your community, you can make the enhancements required to engage and keep them.

Communicating Beyond Our Differences: Psycho-Geometrics™
|
| In Psycho-Geometrics™, Dr. Susan Dellinger explains not only how to determine your own personality type, she reveals how to use geometric psychology to identify the beliefs, values, and attitudes of any person you meet. Psycho-Geometrics™ gives you insights and techniques which allow you to change your communication style to "instantly" relate well to others. It is ideal for improving communication with those "difficult people" in your life! According to Dr. Dellinger, your choice indicates a distinct personality type. Every person has a "preferred shape". Once you know your shape, you will understand why: circles have so many friends, triangles always get the best "deals," squares will not tolerate sloppy work, squiggles are so embarrassing, and rectangles can't remember anything.
