ABC Volunteers; Staff Come Together for Annual ‘Rebuilding Together’ Day

     More than 20 ABC Baltimore Volunteers spent last Saturday giving Ms. Janie Black’s home some badly needed repairs as a part of Rebuilding Together’s Annual Service Day.

     Headed by James C. Stahl’s, Dawn Bentz and ABC’s Chapter Attorney Mitch Kearney, carpenters; electricians and concrete finishers from CAM Construction Co., Inc.; Henry H. Lewis Contractors, LLC; G.L.B.; L.H. Cranston & Sons, Inc.; Tradesmen International; and James C. Stahl rebuilt the crumbling back porch roof of the 80+ year-old-house in the Govans section of Baltimore.

     Other volunteers, including, Christine Tavakoly, with Construction Labor Contractors, Content McLaughlin, with Tydings & Rosenberg, and Karen Fitze with Giles Engineering, helped re-landscape the front of her house. This week, CAM and G.L.B. were to return to Ms. Black's house to replace the crumbling front steps that had gotten so bad, she was unable to walk out of the front of her house. “This ended up being a true labor of love,” said Bentz. “Ms. Black couldn’t have been more appreciative of the work done.”
